Yat Rock's peregrine falcons
Lots to see and do at the internationally renowned viewpoint. Nearby cliffs are the nesting place of Peregrine Falcons that soar above the valley of the River Wye 120m below. It is also the site of an Iron Age hill fort and the fim lcoation used  for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Hilltop Birds of Prey

At Hill top BOP, we offer an affordable, no hassle, falconry experience, using predatory birds both indigenous and exotic. Using species of Hawk, Falcon and Owl, we educate audiences of every age and background on the art, and sport of falconry, as well as the beauty, grace and power of these fascinating raptors. It is our mission to teach audiences, all over the importance of wildlife and conservation, and indeed the animals found in it, priding ourselves with many species of raptors both recognisable and loved in this country.

The Wye Valley Visitor Centre is at the very heart of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where the spectacular Upper Wye Gorge opens out briefly into farmland before the River Wye plunges back between cliffs overlooking the Wye.  In the picturesque Wye Valley, the rolling hills south of Hereford shake hands with the Forest of Dean across the River Wye at Symonds Yat.

All Water Based Activities are run from our private riverside centre here in Symonds Yat East.  All Land Based Activities are run from our private activity centre on Symonds Yat Rock.

Monmouth Canoe Hire
We hire a range of canoes and kayaks suitable for multi persons for short hire periods to multi day hire, perfect to enjoy a great experience on the River Wye providing a fun day out for all. Multi-day trippers can also benefit from tipi hire, this can easily be arranged.

Canoe the Wye
We take you from our canoe hire centre (Symonds Yat West) up river for the start of your river Wye canoe trip and you paddle back to us. Depending on how long you want to hire a canoe for will depend on how far upstream from Symonds Yat we will take you.
